Elks Lodge 0848 - Update
Our project has started over at the Elks Lodge!
A few decades ago a very small scale Coaxial CCTV system was deployed with 6 cameras. These cameras covered various areas of the property but with a ton of blind spots and left a lot to be desired. What we ended up recommending for this job was a hybrid Coaxial system (BNC) with IP camera capabilities. Whoever ran the coaxial system previously did use RG59 cable which is great for achieving 4K so that’s exactly what we did. Replaced 6 cameras with the latest HD over coax technology producing awesome results with very low cost.
Making some final adjustments to a new camera placed in the lobby
We also built out a network and strategically placed Gigabit Power over Ethernet switches in various parts of the building. This network will allow us to deploy IP PoE cameras in all of the places Elks Lodge was lacking. Their parking lots, entrances, alleys and interior areas will be completely covered for the safety of their employees and patrons. No more coax cables for them!
We got to spend some time getting to know this historic building one on one. It’s always really neat to think of all of the people over the last century who have spent time within these walls. Let the pictures do some justice of how cool this place really is!
Of course there is a lot of work that needs to get done but I’ll certainly update you as we move forward.
